La Academia de las Artes y Ciencias Cinematográficas de los Estados Unidos hizo públicos esta noche a través de una gala dirigida por Billy Cristal los ganadores de los premios Oscars, que alcanzaron este año su edición número ochenta y cuatro.

La francesa The Artist colmó las expectativas y fue la gran vencedora de la noche llevándose los premios más relevantes con cinco estatuillas. La magnífica Hugo se hizo también con cinco galardones arrasando en los departamentos técnicos.
